Shutdown Controller provides as the name suggest a 'controlled' way to shutdown unattended Macs.
Shutdown Controller allows you to shutdown your Mac automatically selecting at what time and indicating a group of 'Critical Applications'.
Critical applications are those you don't want to be interrupted during their work by the shutdown just because the shutdown indicated time was reached.
When the shutdown time arrives, Shutdown Controller examines all the running applications and if some of them are in the list of your 'critical' the program waits until they quit (if they can quit automatically when they finish their work) or if you like you can choose to postpone the shutdown to the next day.
The program is based on a time range the user specify defining a 'from' time and a 'to' time.
In this time range Shutdown Controller will shutdown the Mac only if critical apps aren't running.
If the range time expire without performing a shutdown because critical application where running, the shutdown time is updated to the next day.
It is also possible to specify interval times from the application start and unlimited 'to' time.
The program inform you of the upcaming shutdown flashing a different mark in its window depending of the situation, and if in background using the notification manager.
Useful for server and for desktop Mac.
